Matthew Hayes and Jordan Boys are the big winners at the City of Wodonga Titles, taking home the $3,000 (senior) and $2,000 (junior) cheques respectively.

Mathew Hayes was too strong for local karter Justin Carter in Clubman Light, who threw everything at the Todd Road driver, but it was not enough and although only briefly leading the Final Hayes wrapped up the weekend with that win and the $3,000 cheque, Carter 2nd and Mitchell McLeod third.

Jordan Boys, lead the Midgets all weekend, finishing his 3 heats, Pre-final and Final undefeated, Jordan Boys the only driver to accomplish this feat, set him up for the $2,000 on offer for the Midgets, Rookies and Juniors.

Joseph Mawson took out the Junior National Lights with consistency four 3rd place finishes and a Second in the Final, Local Bronson Butcher won the final, while Canberra Driver Warren White, who led the class coming into the final spun in the first turn of the race which set him back to 4th in the points overall.

Max Johnson in Junior National Heavy showed great consistency and speed, to finish the weekend as the class champions, although he was disappointed with a 5th place finish in the final, his 3 wins and a second was enough to hold off the Charge from the National Champions Garry Jacobson who won the final.
James Hughes enjoyed the overnight break, after two second placing's on Saturday in Rookies his team tweaked the kart, and on Sunday he was unstoppable winning the final Heat, Pre Final and Final. Jayden Wallis showed good speed all weekend finishing 2nd overall, while, overnight front runner Liam Morey DNF’ed in the Pre-final, and although he finished 2nd in the Final, it was only enough to finish 3rd on the Weekend.

Junior Clubman provided plenty of interest, with Kayne Hughes and Garry Jacobson battling out every race in close quarters, Jacobson won the final, but it was Hughes who took out the overall results with 4 wins from the five races.

In the seniors, Troy Woolston took out two classes with a dominating performance Rotax Light, only beaten in Heat 3 by Bart Price who finished 2nd in the Class, ahead of Melbourne Driver Daniel Roachford.

In Clubman Heavy Woolston’s consistency in the Heats set up a great battle with Paul Rodger’s in the final, while positions swapped over 10 times in the final, it was Woolston who held on to take the victory in the final and the overall results by 1 point.

Rotax Heavy saw Simon Meyers wins in the Pre-Final and Final set him up for victory, ahead of Luc Price and Ash Pollard. This class one of the most even of the weekend with 3 different winners in each of the heats.

Dominic Lostitch dominated Senior National Light, 4 victories and a Second in the Pre-Final secured the title, with Jack Cox’s winning the Pre-Final, and finishing second in each of the other races. Chris Thomas was 3rd.

Trevor Whitby and Peter Jackman were the class of the Over 40s field. Whitby won a very close final and the day ahead of Jackman and Albury’s Tony Lean.
