Kayne Hughes (Junior Clubman) and Dominic Lostitch (Senior National Light) have completed day one of the City of Wodonga with three (3) wins from three starts in their respective classes. That will set them up with Pole Position for Tomorrows Pre-Finals. Both Drivers showed great speed and patience in securing a perfect result, and will be hard to beat as the Racing continues tomorrow, for the $3,000 on offer for Seniors and $2,000 for the Juniors Rookies and Midgets.

With five (5) of the 12 Classes completing their three (3) heats today, the battle for the title is still wide open, for the 155 competitors who have made their way to the Albury Wodonga Kart Track for the AWKC’s first blue ribbon event of the season.

In the other Classes Rotax heavy looks to be the most even with three (3) different winners from their first 3 heats, Chris Milthorpe, Bruce Otter and Mike Godsell all sharing the honors.

Local driver Jordan Boys has dominated the Midgets 15 kart field with three (3) wins, Thomas Prasevic and Jake Dixon with their work to do to close the gap, as they head into the Pre-Final.

In the Rookies, Liam Morley had 2 hard fought wins, over James Hughes and Jayden Wallis who finished second and third respectively in both heats.

Troy Woolston will be looking to keep his perfect run going, when he starts the final heat of Rotax Light from position eight (8) tomorrow. Woolston who is competing in two (2) classes this weekend also had a win in Heat 1 of Clubman Heavy.

In Clubman Light Justin Carter (AWKC) has kept Mathew Hayes from the Goulburn Valley on his toes, he took victory in Heat 1 of the Clubman Light, the local drove past Hayes to take victory in Heat 2.

Racing Starts at 9am tomorrow, as the battle for the City of Wodonga Title continues.
